The live BBC sessions on disc two are the real draw here, rougher and looser than the studio versions. Three discs is a lot to get through, but the booklet with session dates and notes makes it worth taking slowly.

The third disc is where it really earns its keep — the live versions stretch out longer than the studio takes and you can actually hear him messing with the arrangements. Booklet's decent too. Played the whole thing twice in one weekend.

Three discs of BBC sessions is a lot to get through, but I've been chipping away at it all week and the live versions alone are worth it. The box itself feels solid and the booklet has more session details than I expected.
