The hardcover book packaging is sturdier than I expected, and flipping through it while the remastered stereo mix plays on CD feels like the right way to hear this album. The mono mix is the real draw for me, but having the LP in the same set seals it.
The hardcover book packaging is way nicer than I expected, the pages are thick and the photos look great. Having the original stereo mix on CD again after all these years is the main reason I grabbed this, and it sounds fantastic.
The remastered stereo mix on CD is the real draw here, and it sounds noticeably warmer than the copy I've been streaming for years. I do wish the book had more photos instead of mostly session notes, but the vinyl pressing itself is clean and quiet.
