The 1976 Warner Bros Motion Picture “Sparkle” features a soundtrack created by two Soul giants – Aretha and Curtis. Whilst the movie stars - Irene Cara and Lonette McKee (primarily) - sang the songs on the film, “Sparkle (Music From The Warner Bros. Motion Picture)" features the Queen of Soul herself 'Aretha Franklin', accompanied by composer and producer Curtis Mayfield recorded at his Curtom studio in Chicago. It will be pressed on LP - for the first time since its original release in 1976 - on a Crystal Clear vinyl.

Benjamin W. ★★★★★

Put this on Sunday morning while making coffee and Aretha's vocals on "Something He Can Feel" filled the whole room — the pressing is clean with barely any surface noise. Nice to finally have this soundtrack on wax instead of streaming it.

Hazel E. ★★★★☆

The clear vinyl pressing looks sharp on the turntable, and Aretha's vocals on this 1976 soundtrack come through warm and full. Only gripe is a bit of surface noise in the quieter passages, but for a movie soundtrack reissue it's solid.

Christopher ★★★☆☆

The Aretha and Curtis material is the real draw here, and the movie tracks sung by Irene Cara and Lonette McKee hold up fine. But the sound is a bit thin in places and the clear pressing picked up more surface noise than I'd like.
